WEEKLY QUESTION #2: The History of Braids

Okay, because I'm lazy, I think this will just be a link each week to a better article than I could ever write. So, really, we both win!!

Here yah go!: The History of Braids

You're on your own in the real world

Fourth of July made me think. When I went to go see fireworks, there was a ton of smoke left over once the light sparked in front of our eyes. Now, it's not like I've done my research, but I was pondering whether fireworks were harmful to the air and to the planet. This got me thinking how there always to be a bad thing that comes out of a good thing. For instance, you can leave a relationship with good memories, but end on a bitter note. Lovers betray each other all the time. Our world is full of contradictions.
(Not juicy contradictions, I am not sponsored by Starburst.)

Anyway, this is from July 5th not 4th.

I wore this shirt backwards and tie the "front" with a ribbon and made that into a bow. Yes, I took awkward pictures today.

HAPPY FOURTH!

More pics to come!

For now I'll leave you with a rather unpatriotic movie recommendation!!
Have you guys seen "Dick"?
I know, the title is slightly offputting, but I promise it's pretty hilarious and I was kind of obsessed with their clothes. A really entertaining movie, I'd say.
Stars Michelle Williams (who is brilliant and can work a short haircut like nobody else) and Kirsten Dunst (who is also brilliant and great at playing a ditz without mocking them).

Wednesday-spiration

So Wednesday-spiration sounds absolutely dumb, but we're just gonna go with it.
From
This photo made me think of an overcrowded world where no one ever died. It kind of made me appreciate the beauty of being alone.

From
Love both the skirt and the thought of pairing it with sneakers.

From
I'll be a senior next year so this entire photoshoot resonated with me.  I'm going to want to savor the time I have left.

From
Obessed with overalls lately. Can't wait to get some! Also, love the Parisian School-Girl look.

From
Cutest nail idea award!

From
Every week I'll end with something funny. Hope it makes you smile :)
So, I'm not good at making these cohesive or long but I'll work on it!

No you're not hardcore, unless you live hardcore

I'm pretty sure everyone knows who LeHappy is, considering you're looking at a fashion blog. This outfit was highly inspired her because she looks FAB ALWAYS. Also, my friend and I decided to act like kids again and decorate my driveway with chalk so I thought it was a prime filming location.

Bein' a nerd.

Shirt- Fun. concert original!
Necklace- JcPenney
Shorts- Target
Nylons- Target

I was really proud of that.
Also, new lipstick! It's something Berry related from Maybelline that's supposed to be purple, I don't know if you can tell.

WEEKLY QUESTION #1

Welcome to the first installment of WEEKLY QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!! (cue applause)
This will be a post I put up each Monday where I talk about something I researched that day. You know when you have random questions that you need answered the moment you think about it? Or when you end up on Wikipedia for hours, forgetting how you ended up there in the first place? Well, I'll be posting my similar adventures on this dumb website!!
HERE WE GOOOO:
Now, I started looking up "What time of day do most people like?" but of course, instead, I ended up searching "What time of day do most people die?" which is really more fascinating.

What I found:
This article from The Atlantic contains some interesting facts right off the bat: http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2012/11/you-are-most-likely-to-die-at-11-am/265427/

When I began researching about why people die so often on their birthdays, I found almost inconclusive reasoning. Other articles seemed to claim that some people had a higher stress level on their birthday, like they fear aging, as I'm sure we all do at some point. There have been an increased heart attacks, strokes, and even accidental deaths. These lead me to believe humans like to do crazy things on their birthdays to celebrate!

Questions? Comments? Let's discuss!
